Meet our Right Tribe: Stephanie Jackson, Schools Manager

← Return to Index

At Blue Zones Project® and our parent company, Healthways, we'd like to think of our office as a “living lab,” meaning we try our best to practice what we preach by making healthy choices whenever possible through implementing the Blue Zones® Power 9 principles into our lives. Each week, we'll introduce you to a different colleague of our Right Tribe, and share his or her favorite Power 9.

Meet Stephanie, aka Steph, the Schools Manager for Blue Zones Project Fort Worth. Steph's favorite Power 9 is Purpose because it helps her to live her life more mindfully. When Steph's not working, you can find her watching or attending a local sporting event.

Name: Steph Jackson

Job Role: Schools Manager

Favorite Power 9: At an early age, I often asked myself, "How do I fit in this huge universe?" and each year, I reflect on my strengths, talents, and ask myself how I can use those to be of service to others. Having a Purpose is so important. It is my guiding light within. Knowing my purpose helps me to embrace and move intentionally throughout each day. Every day, I say, “Carpe Diem!” It heightens my awareness on my purpose in my professional and most importantly, my personal life.

Favorite work/volunteer experience: During the holidays, I like to give gifts or healthy snacks for the unsung service workers. My U.S. postal worker, fire fighters (I select a station each year), salon stylist, restaurant staff that I frequent, neighborhood school teachers, etc.

Fun fact: I am a huge sports enthusiast. One of my favorites is high school wrestling. My brother and I attend the TX UIL Wrestling tournament every year! I also participated in the first-ever Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day walk in 2002.
