Blue Zones Project Celebrated at Fort Worth City Council September Meeting

Blue Zones Project® is gaining serious momentum in Fort Worth. To date, 11 restaurants, three grocery stores and six worksites have achieved Blue Zones Project Approved status, making the healthy choice the easy choice.

These early adopters were recognized at the September 15 Fort Worth City Council meeting. All received Blue Zones Approved status by completing the Blue Zones Project Pledge and adopting or supporting a number of best practices from a list of options designed to make the healthy choice the easy choice in Fort Worth.

In addition to the Approved businesses, six other groups (including two neighborhood groups and two local chambers) were recognized as Participating Organizations.

Many more local organizations are working to becoming Blue Zones Project Approved, including 39 worksites, 18 restaurants, two grocery stores and 60 schools. If you are interested in in having your worksite, restaurant, grocery store, or school work toward Blue Zones Project Approval, please contact BlueZonesProjectFortWorth@Healthways.com
