The Well-Being Benefits of Daily Walks

As I leave my desk, I put on my tennis shoes and take a deep breath. Finally, fresh air and movement. I end each workday with a walk. For me walking touches on two of the Power 9 principles of the Blue Zones Project:
Moving Naturally and
Downshifting. As I walk it allows my body to realign after sitting at a computer all day and it clears my head before I go home. Sometimes I am quiet while I walk taking in nature. Other times I focus on what happened today and then let it go. I find that walking improves my mood and boosts my energy.
