PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS
Let's Celebrate!
Achieving Blue Zones Project Approved™ status is a wonderful accomplishment. Congratulations to the following organizations who are helping to make the healthy choice, the easier choice in SWFL.

Shangri-La Springs was a natural fit to participate with Blue Zones Project. They are are an organic property that promotes wellness and gives back to the community by sharing their knowledge of organic gardening and offering tools for those seeking inner peace and joy. "“Ever since Blue Zones Project concepts entered the doors at Shangri La Springs, our practices and ways have been heightened," said Jessica Zink, Sales Coordinator of Shangri La Springs. "We have recognized the things we were doing right and enhanced other practices that needed adjusting as well. From incorporating Blue Zones “drink more water” notices and encouraging each other to take time to go for a walk to the gardens or to meditate by the springs, we know it keeps our staff both mentally and physically in a better frame of mind for work."
Julie Frizzi, author and President of Powerful You continues to inspire and promote physical and emotional wellness among educators and youth in our community! We are proud to have Powerful You join us as our newest Blue Zones Project Recognized organization. "Working together as a team to encourage healthy lifestyles is more beneficial when a community creates a network of members to improve the quality of life," said Julie. "Powerful You teaches the youth of Southwest Florida the benefits of combining yoga and life lessons to improve self regulating skills and emotional resilience."

It was a fun-filled ribbon cutting celebration with St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School, the Blue Zones Project team, NCH CEO, Paul Hiltz, and NCH Chief Strategy Officer, Mike Riley. "We wanted students to make healthier eating choices and help them develop better fitness habits building a foundation for a lifetime of healthy living," said Maria Niebuhr, Principal at St. Elizabeth Seton. "As reflected in our statement of objectives, our goal is to nurture the development of each student to achieve their full potential in body, mind and spirit."
