PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS
Let's Celebrate!
Achieving Blue Zones Project Approved™ status is a wonderful accomplishment. Congratulations to the following organizations who are helping to make the healthy choice, the easier choice in SWFL.
Organizations

Not only did Preferred Travel of Naples celebrate 35 years in business recently, but they also became a Blue Zones Project recognized organization! "As a company we wanted to aid and encourage healthy behavior, stated Olga Placeres, president & CFO of Preferred Travel of Naples, Inc. "As an example, we supplied standing desks for anyone who wanted one. We also improved some of our activities by offering healthier food options at our staff meetings. Rather than donuts, we now provide yogurt, fruit and granola. Our travel partners are assisting by bringing options like fresh fruit along with sweet treats and healthier lunch options. A popular activity that has organically evolved is staff yoga in the office after hours."
According to Be Well In Paradise's Founder, Peggy Sealfon, "As a hub for health and wellness, Be Well in Paradise is providing a community-based platform to make healthy activities, programs, foods, products and services more accessible to all. We are grateful to have Blue Zones Project as one of our partners. We are committed to a collaborative approach in raising awareness about lifestyle choices that affect every part of well-being."
Cheryl Korbel- doTERRA became a Blue Zones Project recognized organization on Sept. 10. "It seemed a natural fit for me to partner with Blue Zones Project since we share the common goal to encourage and educate our community in living a healthy lifestyle. As a wellness advocate with doTERRA, I am passionate about sharing and empowering others with choices that would enable them to enjoy physical and emotional well-being. Our daily habits make all the difference.”
The community of Island Walk become the most recent Blue Zones Project recognized HOA on Sept. 9! They added bike racks throughout the community, offered healthy snacks and non-sugary beverages to their residents at various events, and hosted volunteer driven events to promote socialization and connection.
Let's Talk Dementia Owner, Carol Howell wanted to participate with Blue Zones Project because of her own health journey. "As a person who has fought "the battle of the bulge" all her life, I have come to the very real understanding that lifestyle changes were required to become healthy. In other words, this improvement in my health required more than just a diet. A new way of life was needed. As I began to avoid meats and cheese, focused on vegetables, greens, fruits, and grains, I began to lose weight and gain energy. I have lost 100 pounds, and I am working everyday to drop a few more pounds while becoming more healthy."
Michelle Kempker, LMT – Owner of Love in Hands Massage Therapy says,

"Love in Hands Massage Therapy fits perfectly into the Blue Zones Power 9 principle of Down Shifting. Professional massage is a perfect tool to help combat stress and promote relaxation to allow a person to move through life from a point of peace and ease not pressure and strain."
Restaurant
