PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS
Let's Celebrate!
Achieving Blue Zones Project® Approval takes everyone’s support. Congratulations to the following organizations for becoming Blue Zones Project recognized!
Worksites

Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild became a Blue Zones Project Approved Worksite by having their staff participate in Walking Moais®, replacing 50 percent oftheir vending machines with healthier options, and developing a Blue Zones Project wellness week.
“Blue Zones Project is the perfect opportunity and structured platform for the Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild to share our priority and enthusiasm for health and well-being to help enhance the lives for everyone on the team,” commented Matthew Riley, CEO of Thomas Riley Artisans’ Guild. “In addition, as a leader in the construction industry, being Blue Zones Project Approved gives us a chance to positively influence other construction related companies in an industry that is not typically known for prioritizing wellness. One of our five core values is “shoulder-to-shoulder,” meaning that we are only as strong as our weakest link. The healthier we are, the better we can perform our jobs to the highest level, which leads to better results for our clients and happier lives for all of us.”
Organizations

Plan B Connections became a Blue Zones Project recognized organization bybecoming a tobacco-free organization, incorporating Blue Zones Project and other well-being articles and materials in their regular communications, supporting members to connect with their purpose and promoting volunteer opportunities within the community.

“Like Blue Zones Project, Barre Fusion embodies healthy living,” stated Lisa Daniel, owner of Barre Fusion in Naples. “We strive to teach our clients the core principals of a true mind body connection. Blue Zones Project is helping transform people every day with healthy choices so that they may live longer with a higher quality of life, and Barre Fusion aligns with these values.”
To become a Blue Zones Project recognized homeowner’s association, Foxfire Golf & Country Club established a health and wellness committee, sharedhealthy tips in their newsletter communication to their residents, hosted well-being events including a Blue Zones Project Purpose Workshop, and established Walking Moais®.
To become a Blue Zones Project recognized organization and the first Farmer’s Market in Florida to receive this recognition, Local Roots discouraged the use of tobacco products, ensured that bike racks were available at each of their locations, and offered healthy food options.
Restaurants

Naples Flatbread became a Blue Zones Project Approved Restaurant by adding five plant-based dishes to their menu, including a hummus plate forchildren, a spicy quinoa taco, a hummus wrap, a southwest quinoa bowl, and a veggie burger. The restaurant also now offers guests the option to split plates at no added charge to encourage sharing and reasonable portion sizes.
“Our new southwest quinoa bowl has become the third leading salad on our menu,” stated Ralph Desiano, owner of Naples Flatbread. “This flavorful mixture of spicy roasted quinoa, pico de gallo, along with corn, black beans, peppers and onions has taken off better than we had anticipated! Many of our employees, who have never (and probably would have never) eaten quinoa have commented that they love it. They are pleased to have a new menu item that is healthy and tastes great. We used to order a case of quinoa a week for the restaurant, and now we’re getting six cases a week!”
