Achieving Blue Zones Project® Approval takes everyone’s support. Congratulations to the following organizations for becoming Blue Zones Project recognized!
Worksites

Gulfshore Insurance is now a Blue Zones Project Approved™ Worksite! Thecompany hosted a purpose workshop and cooking demonstrations, created a quiet space in the office for employees to "Downshift" and ensured that they only offered health food options in their vending machines.

Florida Blue became a Blue Zones Project Approved™ Worksite by promoting community volunteer opportunities to their employees, adding healthysnacks in their vending and breakroom areas, encouraging movement breaks throughout the day and creating a "quiet space" for their employees to go in order to de-stress and downshift during their workday.
Organizations

Davidson Engineering became a Blue Zones Project recognized organization by installing bike racks, providing health-based articles and materials on theiremployee blog, becoming a tobacco-free worksite, and regularly promoting volunteer activities to their employees.
“After attending an informational meeting about Blue Zones Project, we were hooked on the Blue Zones Project philosophy and lifestyle and wanted to bring it to our staff,” commented Jeff Davidson, president of Davidson Engineering. “We wanted to show our employees how easy it was to make small changes that sum up to big differences in your life.”

It Starts With You Wellness, a company that focuses on relieving anxiety and providing stress relief for their clients became Blue Zones Project recognizedorganization. The company did so by becoming a tobacco-free site, hosting guest speakers to talk about different health and well-being topics, and focusing on offering non-surgary beverages for clients at their office.

Faith-Based Organizations

Celebration Church became a Blue Zones Project Approved™ Faith-Based Organization by becoming completely tobacco-free, establishing a health andwellness council, installing bike racks for their fellowship and planting and maintaining a community garden.
Cornerstone United Methodist Church became a Blue Zones Project Approved™ Faith-Based Organization by starting a community garden which they manage themselves along with community volunteers. They hosted a plant-based cooking demo, using fresh herbs, vegetables and fruits from the garden.
Restaurants

CJ’s on the Bay now offers a daily chef’s special that is a featured Blue Zones inspired dish in addition to two plant-based dishes on their regular children’smenu and four on the adult menu. The restaurant also feaures whole wheat and whole grain options, a fruit cup dessert with yogurt and honey and home-made dressings without MSG.
