Achieving Blue Zones Project® Approval takes everyone’s support. Congratulations to the following organizations for becoming Blue Zones Project recognized!

To become Blue Zones Project recognized, Landmark Naples placed tobacco-free signage around the public areas in their community, added bike racks,and began using 10-inch plates in their restaurant and clubhouses to foster healthier eating with smaller portion sizes. Landmark Naples also hosted a Purpose Workshop to help their residents discover or rediscover their unique gifts, talents and passions.  

“The mission of Blue Zones Project works very nicely with our active adult community,” stated Barbara Reffler, resident of Landmark Naples. “We look forward to encouraging everyone in the community to add small things into their life to make them healthier and happier and stronger.”

To become Blue Zones Project recognized, Interagency Council of Naples discouraged consumption of soda and sugary beverages and offered nutritious food options at their monthly meetings, became a tobacco-free organization and regularly promoted community volunteer opportunities to their membership. 

“It was clear to us (Naples Interagency Board) that the Blue Zones Project mission aligned with what we look to accomplish at Naples Interagency,” stated Adam Corcoran, president of Naples Interagency. “Not only do we look to create a social atmosphere, we look to encourage one another in a healthy way.”
