PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS
Let's Celebrate!
Achieving Blue Zones Project® Approval takes everyone’s support. Congratulations to the following organizations for becoming Blue Zones Project recognized!
Worksites

To become a Blue Zones Project Approved™ worksite, The Commons Club started an employee garden, added standing desks at employee workstations, hosted healthy potluck Moais, offered discounts for residents of The Brooks to use the onsite fitness center, and offered incentives for their employees to get more involved in community volunteer activities.
“The Commons Club has always thrived to be a work environment that promotes healthy living and the well-being of our employees,” says Mary Johnson, director of operations fitness and spa. “Along with our weekly meditation, complimentary fitness center use, and healthy cooking, we have worked with Blue Zones Project to further improve our work environment our current and future employees.”
Restaurants
To become a Blue Zones Project Approved™ Restaurant, Juicelation created two plant-based entrees for kids and four plant-based entrees for adults. They also offer 100 percent organic products sourced from local farms and made their outdoor dining area non-smoking.
“The Blue Zones Project aligns with our purpose as a business. We believe in people over profit and providing our community with the tools needed to better ourselves as individuals,” stated Sebastian Mancera, co-founder of Juicelation. “We firmly believe it all begins with food choices. By sourcing only 100 percent organic produce and connecting with multiple local organic farmers, we feel confident in the quality and purity of our products. With knowledgeable nutritional therapists on staff, we want Juicelation to be a pleasant and professional place where one can better your life.”
Faith-Based Organizations

Mayflower Congregational United Church of Christ became a Blue Zones ProjectApproved™ Faith-Based Organization by hosting Purpose Workshops to help its congregation discover and reconnect with their sense of purpose and organizing plant-based cooking demonstrations with a local chef. In addition, the church offers healthy snacks at their Sunday morning services, has an onsite bike rack to encourage moving naturally, and they foster social connectedness through chair yoga classes and a book club.
