Community Health Partners hosted a plant-based cooking demo for theiremployees, attended a Purpose workshop, participated in Walking Moais (walking groups) to encourage natural movement, and began hosting standing meetings.

“The Guadalupe Center cares deeply for the health and well-being of our staff, our children and our community,” stated Montecalvo. “We chose to participate with Blue Zones Project to improve our policies and activities so that our families have healthy options. Our mission statement is ‘breaking the cycle of poverty through education’ and we’ve found that health issues are much more likely to develop for families living in poverty due to lack of access to healthy choices. Our children deserve the chance to live well.”
Schools

“A healthy lifestyle is a driver for a healthy mind,” stated Carissa Carroll, principal ofBonita Springs Charter School. “I knew by bringing the Blue Zones Project to our school, I would be helping our students and our team members have more opportunities to enjoy good health and therefore, maximize learning. Blue Zones Project aligns with our mission to inspire students to lead and succeed.”
