Experts in the health field are sharing their concerns with state lawmakers. Today, Representative Pat Harkins hosted a roundtable discussion in efforts to improve community health.
Data shows the current rates of chronic disease in Erie County are worse than state and national averages. With 66% of adults and 54% of children being overweight or obese. The Health Department Director says these statistics are one of the many reasons Erie should become a Blue Zone.
