Having fun, building community, family-orientated. These words describe three organizations in the Beaver Dam area that are Blue Zones Project Supporting Organizations — The Swingin’ Beavers Square Dance Club of Beaver Dam, Beaver Dam Family Center, and Beaver Dam’s Chamber of Commerce.
The Swingin’ Beavers Square Dance Club of Beaver Dam was a natural fit for becoming a Blue Zones Project Supporting Organization. The group regularly gathers to square dance, an activity that not only encourages moving naturally, but also to connect with the right tribe — two of the Blue Zones Power 9 principles. The right tribe is a group of people that supports healthy lifestyle choices.
