The City of Durant has been expanding, becoming a hub for locals and visitors.
"I mean, we are right downtown on Main Street, and 20 years ago, not a lot of this was happening," said Gregg Engle, a Durant business owner. "We've seen the community grow, but I think that as we grow, we could grow healthier and we could grow happier as well."
Instead of back-tracking, a group is working to make Durant and its future healthier and better. They're pushing for the city to hold a new title of a certified Blue Zone.
