The spirit of volunteerism went viral in Klamath Falls on Thursday.
Volunteers participating in the fifth annual Give Back Day logged more than 4,400 volunteer hours on projects at more than 80 recorded sites just with Klamath Falls City Schools K-12 students alone, according to Valli Lonner, who started the event in conjunction with Klamath Falls City Schools in 2013.
