4 Yoga Poses in 4 Minutes

Incorporate these easy yoga poses at work to move naturally throughout the day!

Easy Neck Stretch
Easy Neck Stretch:
 Crunchy neck can mean cranky you! Take a moment to loosen up and elongate your neck which can help prevent headaches. You can do this seated, standing, or sitting in traffic. Simply reach your right arm up to the sky, bend at the elbow and capture the left side of your face and gently allow the weight to pull towards to the right side. You will feel a stretch along the left side of you neck. Hold for a few rounds of deep breaths and then switch sides.

Kneeling Side Body Stretch
Kneeling side body stretch: A nice side body stretch can help reinvigorate the body after prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and it can help increase your core mobility . Come to stand on your knees and then send your right leg straight out to the side. Lift your left arm up to the sky and then tip up and over your right leg. Your right hand can extend down your right leg (as comfortable) and you will feel your left side body stretch. Stay here and breathe for a few rounds of deep breaths and then switch sides.

Hand / Forearm Stretch
Hand / Forearm Stretch: Because we have a whopping 34 muscles in each hand that get over-worked! Give these muscles some love by stretching them out each day. Interlace your fingers and press your clasped hands face down towards the ground. This will help open up the forearms, wrists and fingers. 

Chest Expansion
Chest Expansion: If you sit for hours at a time at a desk, in the car or on a bike, give your chest and neck a break by broadening across your chest. Place hands behind your back in a clasped grip near your lower back. Inhale and lift your shoulders, then exhale and pull your shoulder blades together and press your grip further towards the ground. Lift your chin slightly as you feel your chest and shoulders open.
