Blue Zones Project - Kapolei-Ewa partnered with Andy and Jen on a Mehana Giving Tree event where they got the community together to give gifts during the Christmas season to children at Onelau’ena Shelter back in December of 2018 and since then they have grown into a special gathering place for the Mehana community. You can find Andy and Jen coordinating activities at the park, movie nights, anything that will bring the community together.
Andy said, “It’s special to really feel a part of this community, and it’s great that I get to do that with my wife and my kids, too. We love meeting new community members and also love it when they meet each other. We’re really thankful that Blue Zones Project encouraged and supported our first community event. Now we just can’t stop!”
