Blue Zones Project on Living 808

Trini Kaopuiki and Living 808 visited Foodland Kailua to learn more about their partnership with Blue Zones Project^® and how incorporating healthy checkout lanes have contributed to an increase in grocery store sales as well as bringing together a healthier and happier community.

There are currently six locations statewide working towards becoming Blue Zones Project Approved^™ grocery stores.

• Foodland Kailua
• Foodland Kaneohe
• Foodland Keeau
• Foodland Waimea
• Sack N Save Hilo
• Sack N Save Puainako

All locations have a Blue Zones Project Checkout Lane and have flagged Blue Zones Foods throughout the store. There is an information display at all front entrances of participating Foodland/Sack N Save locations that provide more details and recipes by Foodland’s Chef, Keoni Chang.
