Mahalo to our College Ambassadors!
Blue Zones Project - Hawai‘i's College Ambassador Program offers students new opportunities to learn and grow, exciting projects that have real impact, and connections with mentors and well-being leaders in the community.
Launched in Fall 2020, this program was designed to connect us to students who are passionate about health and well-being in Hawai‘i and equip them with real-life experiences and resources to become well-being champions of their own.
“Blue Zones Project has been a great outlet for community engagement. A strong emphasis on local and Native Hawaiian health betterment in small activities that make a big difference in how we shape the community. BZP has great activities that concentrate on community wellness from all angles from street infrastructure improvement to preservation of native lands, all factors relevant to health and security of the community in itʻs entirety. I highly recommend BZP for those who want to engage in interpersonal work, community outreach, land-based fieldwork, and nutritional knowledge. Also, if you prefer to work independently on tasks and thrive better on set deadlines, BZP is a great fit.”
– Jonah Saribay, Spring 2020 Ambassador
