Maui County Federal Credit Union celebrated becoming a Blue Zones Project Approved™ worksite on October 18, 2018.
Maui County Federal Credit Union has taken important steps in optimizing their workplace environment.
Some Blue Zones Project® inspired activities include:
- “Workout Wednesdays” with Megan Nolan from Vitality Fitness, a 20-minute yoga session before the work day
- Designated location for breastfeeding
- Encouraging walking by posting walking routes and signage around the branch and break room
- Launching the STEPS challenge – each day you take at least 7,500 steps you earn $1
- Hosting plant-based cooking classes – during their Admissions Day training, they featured a kale/wakame/beet salad w/ miso dressing, quinoa/black bean veggie burgers and turkey “hamburger steak” with gravy
- Hosting purpose workshops
- Encourage casual dress days – favorite sports team Friday’s is a fan favorite
- FREE flu shots to employees at their branch
- FREE on-site massages
