The summit was facilitated by built environment experts, Dan Burden and Tony Hull, who provided fresh, innovative perspectives around potential projects in Central Maui. At the summit, participants worked together to identify their marquee project: a Complete Streets Make Over of Kane Street. The corner of Kane Street and Vevau Street will serve as the future home of a Kahului Transportation Hub and will greatly benefit from improvements that promote a more connected, safer, walkable and bike-able community.

In addition, it was decided that Blue Zones Project - Central Maui will focus its Capacity Building Project in support for the Maui Lani Roundabout, which is needing budget approval from the County Council. Lastly, the summit helped to identify key policies and potential implementation plans to move forward with essential projects here in Central Maui.
