Author and National Geographic Fellow Dan Buettner calls these areas Blue Zones and they’re the inspiration behind his New York Times bestseller, The Blue Zones: Lessons for Living Longer from the People Who’ve Lived the Longest.
You have a chance to make your community a Blue Zones Community®. By bringing residents, worksites, schools, restaurants, grocery stores, and government together, you can help inspire a movement that has the power to improve quality of life for your friends, family, and neighbors for generations to come.
Between now and the end of 2014, there will be many opportunities for individuals and leaders in your community to learn more about Blue Zones Project® and demonstrate your commitment to make healthy choices easier.
