Are you READY (or too tired) to GET this PARTY started?
Connecting doesn't need to be complicated
If we don’t schedule out our F-U-N, unfortunately, it will N-O-T happen. How about starting a fun friend’s gathering? Do you want to connect but feel overwhelmed with the idea of planning it?
Not to worry - hosting a get-together can be really SIMPLE but even more meaningful when it is SPECIFIC and HEART-FELT.
Think about the PURPOSE of getting together - to connect, laugh, cry, release stress, bond over your mutually shared love of cereal for dinner?
Priya Parker, author of ”The Art of Gathering,” provides some great tips. “Specificity is a crucial ingredient. The more focused and particular a gathering is, the more narrowly it frames itself and the more passion it arouses.”
For example, host a super low-key dinner for other worn-out moms. Name it something fun (and specific) like “The Worn-Out Moms Club.” You can wear pajamas, get take-out and share stories about how tired all of you are. No doubt you will laugh a lot and leave with a boost to tackle another day of fatigued mom life.
Select a time that works for you, send out a quick text or email and buckle up for some friend therapy. We’d love to hear how it goes - send us an email (bluezonesprojectSWFL@gmail.com) or share on social media (and tag us)!
“Gatherings crackle and flourish when real thought goes into them, when (often invisible) structure is baked into them, and when a host has the curiosity, willingness, and generosity of spirit to try.” ~Priya Parker, “The Art of Gathering”
