It’s about 4,000 miles total to drive from Klamath Falls to Chicago and back.
Altogether, students at Stearns Elementary School have collectively run the same distance in the past two years as part of the “Mighty Milers” program, just one of several new health initiatives at the school.
Blue Zones Project Klamath Falls officially made Stearns Elementary School a designated Blue Zones school Monday morning. Students, staff and others packed into the gym just before 8:30 a.m. to hear the announcement, followed by a ceremonial ribbon cutting.
