Kayla Brandel has spent the past school year getting to know the students at Mills Elementary.
Brandel, who attends Oregon Institute of Technology’s and majors in population health management, had an opportunity to research and then help the elementary school kick off their “walking school bus” programs Wednesday, a school-wide effort that helps encourage children to stay active.
