Merritt Driscoll, project manager of Blue Zones Project in Klamath Falls, has earned the first Stephanie Van Dyke award for service and kindness.
The award, which had its debut at the Blue Zones Project national summit in Florida, is one of three nationwide awards created to recognize continuing efforts in Blue Zones Project sites throughout the U.S.
Other award categories include the Randy Kehr award for initiative and collaboration and the Bob Kane award for passion and purpose. Kehr and Kane were also renowned in their own communities, each working with Blue Zones Project efforts of their own.
