Confetti flew and the crowd cheered as it was officially announced that Klamath County was among four finalists chosen for the 2018 Culture of Health Prize during a reception at the Ross Ragland Theater Tuesday.
Gathered were members of various organizations comprising the Healthy Klamath Initiative, launched five years ago to cover a broad range of efforts to improve community health. It included representatives from Blue Zones Project, Klamath County Public Health, Sky Lakes Medical Center, Klamath-Lake Counties Food Bank and many other partners involved in the collective effort toward cultural change of perceptions and attitudes about the Klamath Basin.
