Corry is set to become the first Blue Zones community in the northeastern United States.

UPMC, Highmark Health and LECOM Health have agreed to give $1 million each to pay most of the expenses for Corry to join the well-being and health initiative for three years. The rest of the $3.5 million cost will be funded from other donors, Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper said.
