Purpose is the inward intent that drives outward action.

For Juneau native Sean Beaudry, that outward action involves lacing up his shoes on even the coldest of winter days to hit the road and put in the miles. Beaudry is training to run the Boston Marathon in April. He was awarded a spot in the 26.2-mile road race as a charity partner with ALS Therapy Development Institute, a cause that is devastatingly close to Sean.
