Abrio Health is continuing their work to ensure Airdrie’s future as the healthiest community in Canada.
At the City Council meeting on Oct. 7, an update on the Blue Zones Project was presented.
“As we know, North America is in a bit of a health crisis with obesity, depression, and other health factors,” said Kent Rupert, executive director of the Blue Zones Project with Abrio Health.
“But there is some good news. Through research, we know that only 20 per cent of our health is related to genetics, and at least 70 per cent is within our control by managing our behaviours and our environment. The Blue Zones Project can help us with that.”
