Are you caring for a loved one? More and more adult children are part of the “sandwich generation,” a generation of people responsible for bringing up their own children while simultaneously caring for their aging parents or aging loved ones.

Still more aging couples live in the reality of one spouse caring for the other spouse in failing health. While caring for loved ones is a driving force for many, research shows that 30 percent of all caregivers die before the person they are caring for. If the caregiver is older than 70, this statistic jumps to 70 percent.
