FUKUJI & LUM

With three locations across Oahu (Kaneohe, Kailua, and Honolulu), Fukuji & Lum knows that patients receive the best care when their employees are happy and healthy. Since the company’s establishment in 1995, Fukuji & Lum’s mission has been, "to deliver fun, happiness, and compassion in serving their patients.” To this end, fun and happiness coincide with well-being and are an integral part of Fukuji & Lum’s culture.

Fukuji & Lum at the Kokokahi YWCA became a Blue Zones Project Approved® worksite on December 15, 2017. One of the many ways Fukuji & Lum continues to perpetuate wellness and such a positive company culture is by leading Walking Moais or walking groups with participation from colleagues across all locations. The term “moai” (mow-eye) comes from Okinawa, Japan (an original Blue Zones) where Okinawans would get together with friends for a common purpose. Walking Moais at work cultivate workplace friendships that contribute to workplace happiness and productivity – an invaluable aspect of one’s quality of life. It also provides an outlet for employees to move naturally and support healthier habits together.
