HAWAII STATE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION (HSTA) KICKS OFF BLUE ZONES PROJECT
The Hawaii State Teachers Association (HSTA) kicked off its Blue Zones Project Worksite wellbeing program Wednesday at their Red Hill office with over 50 employees attending the event.
Setting the stage: HSTA Executive Director, Wilbert Holck; Sharecare-Blue Zones Project V.P., Craig Petty; and HMSA Senior Account Manager, Galen Haneda delivered speeches on the importance of workplace fun, friendship, and family.

HMSA’s “Green Team” brought tablets for employees to take Sharecare’s RealAge® Test. Pictured below, HMSA’s Alfonz Pratt measures a most photogenic participant’s blood pressure.
What would fun with friends be without food?! With a bit of natural movement, HSTA colleagues pedaled their way to plant-powered smoothies. I did a little demo showcasing a tasty tofu watercress salad.
Speaking of moving naturally, how cool is this Xbox Kinect rock climbing game? You can race your friend and even sabotage them by pulling their virtual leg!
We had the honor of forming HSTA’s walking moai® - walking teams that get together for at least 30 minutes once a week for ten weeks.
