Ginger Lemonade

Ginger Lemonade

Recipe from Blue Zones.

Fresh ginger adds a unique and zingy kick to classic lemonade. It’s the ultimate thirst-quenching and refreshing beverage for a picnic, BBQ, or outdoor party.

Ingredients

  • ½ inch fresh ginger, peeled and chopped

  • Juice from 3 lemons*

  • 3 tablespoons sugar

  • ¼ cup honey, dissolved in 2 tablespoons warm water

  • 6 cups water

  • Lemon zest and sliced lemons, for serving

Directions

  1. Combine ginger and lemon juice in a blender until combined.
  2. Add all other ingredients except for lemon garnish.
  3. In a pitcher, pour out liquid and strain out ginger pieces.
  4. Serve over ice with lemon zest and slices for optional garnish.

*Note: You can also recreate this with lime for a ginger limeade that is very good!
