The Klamath County Library hosted a street fair Wednesday morning outside of the downtown branch as a part of its summer reading program. The summer reading program includes weekly activities on Wednesday mornings such as the street fair and many other activities for the young readers to enjoy.
The street fair had a wide variety of activities for young readers to participate in. Children sat in emergency response vehicles from Klamath County Fire District 1, including an ambulance and even a ladder rescue truck. The Oregon Department of Transportation also brought out an incident response truck for children to explore. Face painting and sidewalk chalk art opportunities were offered, as well as games of bean bag toss and Jenga, provided by Klamath County Friends of the Children and the Klamath Falls Blue Zones Project.
