Meet Blue Zones Project Champion, Jae-Hee

Meet Punahou School senior, Jae-Hee! As part of her Girl Scout Gold Award project, Jae-Hee led the initiatives towards Punahou becoming a Blue Zones Project Approved^™ school. Punahou School has previously achieved Blue Zones Project Approved worksite status.

"Getting to work on the Punahou Blue Zones Project approval has opened my perspective to what wellness truly means. As a part of my Girl Scout Gold Award, I took on the project of [helping] my school [become] a Blue Zones Project Approved school. It was a great project to work on because of the community connections I established, as well as the initiative that have been executed as a result of the [approval]. For me personally, I felt that I accomplished my goal of improving student wellness through each point of validation I found. Being that I am a senior, the Blue Zones Project was a great way to solidify my last year at Punahou School, and give back to a community that has given me so much. I am very grateful for all of the people that have helped me to complete this project, and I hope this is an initial start to raising awareness about wellness and healthier lifestyles."
