Spring Cleaning is One of the Best Ways to Move Naturally
Spring is just around the corner and you know what that means... sunshine, flowers, and spring cleaning! This season is the best time to clean out your closet, refurnish your space, and care for your outdoor garden. In addition to taking care of your environment, you're also taking care of your body by moving naturally more frequently!
Need some inspiration? Here's a list of common household tasks that will not only clean your space and mind, but also encourage you to move naturally and burn a few extra calories this season:
Beautify Your Yard – Pull some weeds, plant new fruits and veggies, trim the shrubs and hedges, or rake the front yard. Make it a friendly competition to see which family member can fill up their bucket of green waste first.
Deep Clean Your Space – Sweep the floor, scrub your bathroom, vacuum the carpet, or disinfect the counters (especially during the pandemic!). As many of us continue to work from home, it's important to have a clean work space for maximum productivity.
Makeover Your Home – Paint the spare bedroom or rearrange your home office (tip: if you work from home and video conference often, face your desk towards the window for a nice, soft light). Sometimes a new layout of your space can make the biggest difference in your energy.
Bake Like Your Kūpuna – Put on your chef's apron and find a new plant-slant recipe from your grandma or grandpa's recipe books. And while you're at it, you might find yourself clearing out some older ingredients hidden in the back of the cupboard. It's a win-win!
