ABOUT DAN BURDENdan-burden

Dan Burden, Blue Zones Director of Innovation and Insipiration, and Blue Zones help communities create active and healthy living environments by creating safe travel routes, designing pedestrian-friendly roads, and decreasing isolation and inactivity within communities.

Our environment is constructed to facilitate vehicle transportation, which can make stepping out into your community a daunting task.

Roads are created primarily for cars, with pedestrians and bicyclists as an afterthought. Dan Burden provides a framework and action plan for communities to change their environments into safe, walkable, bike-able and livable communities where individuals and businesses thrive.
