Brand guidelines, assets, and messaging to ensure that all roles are equipped to launch the brand.

Below you will find a comprehensive list of BZP brand tools, assets, and collateral capabilities. View in Best Practice Center: Marketing Needs Overview.docx - Blue Zones Project

Brand Guidelines

These guidelines help reinforce the way we present the Blue Zones Project® brand, ensuring it's professional and consistent. They also identify what makes us unique. All usage of the Blue Zones Project logo, trademarks, and other brand assets must comply with these guidelines. Anyone referencing the Blue Zones Project brand or producing branded collateral should use these guidelines.

Best Practice Center

Best Practice Center is an online library of operational and training documents, including playbooks, BZP processes, and training. It has a dedicated space for each BZP Community for collaboration, with different views for committee members or organizations.*

Brand Central

Brand Central is a tool that creates standardization across our marketing materials. Each communities' materials can be localized to create collateral to support Blue Zones Project activities and campaigns. Many of the assets are available in English, Spanish, and Bilingual options to serve our Spanish-speaking populations.**

*You will have received email invitation to set up your account for the Best Practice Center.

**You will have received information on your unique username and password to get set up.

Marketing Starter Kit

Blue Zones Project colleagues act as brand ambassadors at many community-facing events and having multiple touchpoints for branded materials will be a key component for raising awareness and exposure to the Blue Zones Project brand identity. You’ll want to order items within the first few weeks upon onboarding to ensure arrival of materials on time.

On Brand Central, click on the 'All Materials' tab, look to refine by campaigns on the left-hand side and select 'Marketing Starter Kit.' There you will find all the initial branded items you will need to get started including:

  • Graphics for t-shirts, totes and water bottles
  • Business cards
  • Project fact sheet
  • Personal pledge
  • Power9 banners
  • Tablecloths and more!

*It is important to note that Brand Central is NOT a direct ecommerce site, but strictly a resource for marketing assets and customization of graphics for merch.

Order Branded Merch

Blue Zone Project's preferred vendor for ordering merch is Jack Nadel International. If you elect to work with them, or simply need another estimate, please email BZP@nadel.com. While we understand and support communities' desire to use locally sourced print solutions, please note that these vendors may come with a higher cost.

OneDrive

OneDrive is Microsoft's cloud service that allows you to store and save all your files, and is primarily used to share documents with those within our network.

Photo Library Link

Blue Zones Project has a robust archive of stock imagery, community-specific photos, and core Power9 themed lifestyle photography shots which can be used for press opportunities, digital ads, email campaigns and more. The BZP photo library collection can be accessed here.

Creative Brief Request Process

While most BZP branded marketing assets can be customizable and localized per community, you might encounter instances where you need updates on design and/or copy to certain materials that already exist or need our designers to create brand new materials. In this case, we ask all team members to complete the Creative Brief Request form.

The CBR is a detailed questionnaire document to provide the design team with creative direction to create the type of collateral needed. You will be asked to include everything from design due date, language assistance, collateral type, dimensions, objective, design features and more.

PR/Media Relations Support and Process

One of the initial goals of a launch in a community is to start building and establish relationships with the local media in your community – this ranges from journalists across broadcast, print and digital platforms. Our Central Marketing Team is here to support and assist in setting up your PR and media relations needs; reach out to your Central Marketing Team lead contact to assist with the needs below as follows:

  • Requesting local media contacts
  • Quarterly Cision Reports
  • Press Release Templates
  • Setting up Google Alerts
  • Media tracking via Smartsheet
  • Crisis PR process
  • Signing up for local newspaper print+digital subscriptions

Speaking Engagement Requests – As the local team in a new community, you will have numerous opportunities to participate in events, panels and various speaking engagement opportunities to build brand awareness as a representative for Blue Zones Project. For all community speaking engagement requests, please be sure to send the what, when, where details of the event and audience in an email to bzppr@sharecare.com to keep the central team informed.

Social Media Setup

Upon hiring, the Central Digital Team will connect with you to be added as an admin to your community's designated Facebook page, in addition to supporting the creation of a linked Instagram account. While additional social media accounts such as Twitter, Snapchat, etc., are also available to be set up, it is recommended that the local team provide insight on the targeted channels where community members are most active and engaged in the content.
