Shangri-La Springs was a natural fit to participate with Blue Zones Project. They are are an organic property that promotes wellness and gives back to the community by sharing their knowledge of organic gardening and offering tools for those seeking inner peace and joy. "“Ever since Blue Zones Project concepts entered the doors at Shangri La Springs, our practices and ways have been heightened," said Jessica Zink, Sales Coordinator of Shangri La Springs. "We have recognized the things we were doing right and enhanced other practices that needed adjusting as well. From incorporating Blue Zones “drink more water” notices and encouraging each other to take time to go for a walk to the gardens or to meditate by the springs, we know it keeps our staff both mentally and physically in a better frame of mind for work."
Julie Frizzi, author and President of Powerful You continues to inspire and promote physical and emotional wellness among educators and youth in our community! We are proud to have Powerful You join us as our newest Blue Zones Project Recognized organization. "Working together as a team to encourage healthy lifestyles is more beneficial when a community creates a network of members to improve the quality of life," said Julie. "Powerful You teaches the youth of Southwest Florida the benefits of combining yoga and life lessons to improve self regulating skills and emotional resilience."
Ciccarelli Advisory Services, Inc. has improved well-being through Moai walks, organizing community volunteer days, offering healthy, nutritious food options at meetings and events, and created a tobacco-free environment! “One of the number one concerns for the families we serve are their future health and well-being," said Kim Ciccarelli Kantor, CFP®, CAP®, President and Co-Founder of Ciccarelli Advisory Services, Inc." Because of this, our firm chose to become involved in the Blue Zones Project to help educate, share, and implement healthy habits for our clients and our team."
21 Spices celebrated their ribbon cutting with a large gathering and delicious plant based appetizers made by award-winning Chef Asif . "Becoming Blue Zones Project Approved will definitely create an impact in my restaurant," said Chef Asif. "We serve fresh, farm to table food, practice food sustainability, and part of our mission is to build awareness on healthy eating, especially among the younger generation in our community and on a national level."
It was a fun-filled ribbon cutting celebration with St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School, the Blue Zones Project team, NCH CEO, Paul Hiltz, and NCH Chief Strategy Officer, Mike Riley. "We wanted students to make healthier eating choices and help them develop better fitness habits building a foundation for a lifetime of healthy living," said Maria Niebuhr, Principal at St. Elizabeth Seton. "As reflected in our statement of objectives, our goal is to nurture the development of each student to achieve their full potential in body, mind and spirit."

St. John's Episcopal Church, Naples. "The Blue Zones Project furthers our mission by encouraging a spirit of well-being through healthy practices that will empower us on our spiritual journey," said Father Joseph F. Maiocco III, Rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church, Naples.
