PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS

Let's Celebrate!

Achieving Blue Zones Project Approved™ status is a wonderful accomplishment. Congratulations to the following organizations who are helping to make the healthy choice, the easier choice in SWFL.

 Organizations

Arbor Trace became a Blue Zones Project recognize HOA on Aug. 1. "It has been a pure joy to see the lives of our residents transformed once we started our Moai walking group", stated Sandra Steinbach, director of resident services at Arbor Trace. "Several ladies who previously had not been involved in any other activities in our community joined the group and watching them exercise and find their #RightTribe brought new vitality in their lives."

Fit2Run- Naples became a Blue Zones Project recognized organization. As a running store, their goal is tobecome more present in the Naples fitness community by providing opportunities for SWFL residents to get active and to seek the footwear they need to enhance comfort and prevent injury during physical activity. Their goal is to grow the local running community by providing running opportunities, like our free weekly run club, to get residents more active and moving naturally.

"As a charity, one of Cafe of Life's initiatives is to help a group of low-income ladies through organizing andleading a support group. These ladies all reside at the same trailer camp and are new immigrants. Because of our endeavors to implement Blue Zone practices we are 1) taking them to get fresh produce from a local U Pick grower 2) enabling them to gain new knowledge through sponsoring healthy living classes provided by the Florida Extension Office 3) helping them to plant their own garden and raise healthy vegetables for themselves and their families and 4) sponsoring healthy activities like volleyball.  Where they were once isolated, they now share a meal together and feel empowered and enriched by their new founded skills and friendship."
